Walking over a bridge in Cambridge/Boston. It had amazing architecture and someone had written the midnight ride of Paul Revere along the walk path. Hence the picture below with the Old North Church. Colored pictures at the end.
I wasn't sure if I liked the black and white or the actual color on the top photo, so I included both! I'm kind of excited that I can take color pictures soon!
Funny little story for you. We were low on food in the house, I had the day off, and Andrew was sleeping, so i figured it was a good time to go to the grocery store. I get there and there are a lot more people than you would think on a Thursday afternoon at the grocery store. It had been raining, but it was still warm out so I wore my flip flops. As I was walking up to the store, I slipped and fell straight on my butt/hip/side area. It didn't hurt, but about 7 different people asked me if I was ok. Then, I go get all the groceries and I am checking out when I remember my debit card is at home. I end up putting all the groceries on hold while I drive back home, get my card, and then pay for my groceries. What a day!
On the other hand, Andrew is doing a little bit better. He tries to be in good spirits, but I think that helps the healing process go by faster. I so wish I could have tomorrow off too to just take care of him. But alas, I have work, then a test on Saturday.
Andrew had surgery and since I spent a whole day in a new place, of course I took pictures. This is Andrew's ET Phone Home finger pulse monitor and below is a picture of the wall. It would have been cool to get closer to the smiley faces because that is what drew me into the board in the first place, but I had other priorities. Andrew is in pain, but recovering. I can't wait till he is out of pain. I hate hearing him wince.
Today was SO long. I'm not tired, but I am just exhausted if that makes sense. I felt like I was working from 7am to 8pm. I am making tomorrow my relax (and finish up my homework) day! It has been declared!
Also, are there any b&w photos you would like me to take? Anything you really want my "creative" eye on...?
Nom nom nom. I made BLTs today and they were delicious! They don't look like they were made to be in black and white though. I have been researching better photography skills, so I really hope that there will be better pictures coming soon.
Pretty cool. I wish my phone took better pictures. I haven't charged my nice camera and therefore, it ran out of battery as I went to take adorable pictures of children. Note to self: Charge batteries like once a week!! The practice would have been awesome.
If you know anyone who would like free photos of their children, let me know! I can't guarantee they will be any good, but I can try and I would love to practice. I need more babies in my life. It would be absolutely amazing if I could just make a living on taking pictures of babies. Epic!
I had my first class since I graduated. It was exhausting. It was class for 5 hours with about a 30 minute break overall. But it was great because it is something I have wanted to take for a long time. I've already done most of my homework! We'll see how long that lasts.
It was a good day. I had to go back into work in the evening, but my awesome husband came with me! We did science. Well, I showed him what I do at work and then we went out to eat at this funky place that serves breakfast at all hours. And if you know Andrew at all, you know he looooves breakfast. Yum!
Our lovely internets? This kind of looks eerie. I feel black and white photos can make things creepier or seem like they have an emotion (i.e the potato masher) when a color photo of the same thing wouldn't have.
On another topic, my phone (on which I am typing this) has a function key for the keyboard. So say I want parentheses, I have to hit the "alt" button then the letter "I" or "o" depending on the direction you want. Some punctuation doesn't need the function key, such as the period (understandable since it is used quite often. But the slash symbol doesn't need the alt key either, but the apostrophe does. I just feel it should be the opposite way. I use apostrophes much, much more often than a slash.
