Daily Photo Project 2016

I am going to attempt to take and/or edit pictures once a day for the whole (leap) year! I tried this once before and it fizzled out, but I am hoping with my two new favorite, ever-evolving subjects, I might make it longer this year. Click here (same link as above) to view the gallery! This link will also be located on the sidebar to the right of my page.

2016 is bound to be full of firsts with Arwen! We already know she's going to take her first steps this year as well as her first birthday. Her first plane ride will definitely be this year too! I can't wait to photograph some memories this year.

Also, new year, new design! Hope you like it! And yes, I am looking for a new banner for the blog title. I plan on taking a good picture of ice cream sometime this year :)

And In My Brokenness To Cry Spring Worship Unto Thee

Day 106.
We made our banana/strawberry smoothie/ice cream again and this time I put in blueberries and strawberries. DELICIOUS, especially on this hot, hot day.
Also, I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend watching "God Grew Tired Of Us". It is a documentary about 4 lost boys from Sudan and it is so incredibly touching, moving, funny, sweet, sad, and just plain incredible.

Baby, You're A Firework. Come On Let Your Colors Burst

Day 103.
Yesterday was a really good day. I hung out with my mom, sister, and niece and we watched fireworks and reminisced about days before. I really love a lot of these shots! We even had glow bracelets and necklaces. We went all out. :)

She wasn't excited about the fireworks at all... also, I realize this picture is reaaaalllllyyyy blurry, but I think it is just so cool. Kind of the opposite of a shadow picture.

 SO Americana!

 Like a dandelion.
 Squiggles!

Finale!
So, which fireworks picture did you like the best?!?

Like A Rollin' Thunder Chasing The Wind .. Lightning Crashes

 Day 065.
How awesome is the top picture?!? SO PROUD of these pictures. They are all natural. Just uploaded from my camera. The tornado in Mass. brought about beautiful thunder and lightning storms. I hope that people are o.k. after the tornado. I knew many people who lived in the towns affected by the tornado. Be safe!
 The storm a'brewin'.
 A little lightning.
Beautiful. In my humble opinion. :)
P.S - Why is lightning spelled with a 'n' in the middle? Seems silly.
Also, 300 more days! I'm doing it!

And It Came to Me Then That Every Plan is a Tiny Prayer to Father Time...Love is Watching Someone Die

 Day 040.
Emotions were running high today. I did walked 3 miles with Team Eddison Alleen for the March of Dimes this morning/afternoon. It was quite a nice day for a walk, but when we got back to the Hatchshell it started hailing and raining. It was a great experience as always and the cause means so much to me.
The T-shirts are team wore. My best friend designs them each year and each year they turn out so fantastic. We've been walking each year for 5 years!!
I thought this picture was adorable and came out really, really well.

After the March for Babies, Andrew and I went home, relaxed a bit, then went to a benefit for the American Cancer society in honor of his best friend/coworker's mom. She died of breast cancer last year, so they were raising money for Relay for Life. I'm quite sure they made a lot of money for an equally great charity.
Lots and lots and lots of love to our family and friends today and every day. We wouldn't be where we are without their support and I have a feeling they wouldn't be where they are either. <3

Doctor, Doctor, Give Me the News I've Got a Bad Case of Lovin' You

Day 039.
I found this as I was walking out of work. I had seen it multiple times, yet it really stuck me today. Be careful. This weekend is going to be full of emotion. I am going to try and capture it in photos. I hope I can succeed.

Kiss a Wookie, Kick a Droid

 Day 038.
I know, I know. This should have been yesterday seeing as it was Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you), but I forgot, plus I had such awesome pictures yesterday. Perhaps tomorrow I shall be all Cinco de Mayo related pictures. Who knows.

This is the second week we've been going to what is called the Alpha course and it is an introduction to the Christian faith and already I have begun to love it. It asks many questions that I have asked myself, either to Andrew or just to myself because I was scared/nervous/etc. The Pastor that runs it is hilarious and so sweet and caring and the people at our table (around 10 people) are so different from me, yet we all have similar feelings and thoughts and questions. Anyway, I highly recommend it if you feel dumb about religion or even if you just have questions of a spiritual nature.

If you couldn't guess, this post was inspired by Andrew. He got the lego set from Santa and just built it a week ago. He has been begging me to take a picture of it and I decided tonight was a good night. After a long, hard, frustrating day, tonight was a good, thoughtful night.

 They're zooming into space!!

Throw Some Glitter Make it Rain On 'Em

Day 037.
These pictures were taken on my phone, but I think they came out awesome!! Especially the bottom picture.
I got to interview a person for a position in my group. It was the first time I have ever interviewed someone and there were some awkward silences, but overall, it went well. I am also interviewing a person on Friday. Wahoo!

Love and Love and Happy Afternoons

Day 034.
Outdoors-y pictures! It was so sunny and beautiful today. It has been wonderful relaxing with Andrew today.  We went to church, went to Unos for lunch, took a nap, and got Coldstone! YUM! Next weekend will be busy, busy walking for March for Babies and celebrating my mother-in-law's 50 years being born!
